I have some turkey breast for dinner tomorrow night, it’s cut like steaks are trying the whole healthy thing so Tom doesn’t get fat…

I was wondering for some gravy ideas, but there will not be any juices from the turkey being cooked for broth gravy.

I don’t want to buy gravy from a can either. Any ideas or Recipes?

Also I’m having a mixed south-west vegetables on the side and home-made bread that takes 2 days to get ready.

1 (15 ounce) can black beans, rinsed and drained
1 (8.75 ounce) can whole kernel corn, drained

brown turkey on both sides... Add tomatoes with green chile peppers, beans and corn. Reduce heat and let simmer for 25 to 30 minutes or until turkey is cooked through and juices run clear. Add a dash of cumin and serve.

I'm thinking you need at least a 16 lb. turkey. I usually fix my turkey in a Reynolds Oven Turkey Bag each year and they always come out delicious. I usually clean out my turkey and rinse it. Then I butter it all over and add some Morton seasoning salt sprinkled all over. I place it in the bag and seal. I usually cook it at 350 degrees. 20 minutes per pound. So, I 16 lb. turkey would take about 5 hrs. to cook. You can raise the temp. to 375 degrees at 15 minutes per pound and only have to cook it about 3 1/2 to 4 hours.

I'd have to agree with your first answer, because most gravy recipes call for pan drippings as the base.

Use chicken broth or boulion for the gravey base.
