Today my ex said my name out loud so I could hear him. And he was looking at me to when he said it. And he was talking about me to my best friend. Why would he talk about me for no reason? He did the exact same thing yesterday. He asked my friend if she likes me and she said yes. Then he said "I lost all respect for you now". Why would he do that? And he said that he never wants to speak to me again.

He is probably still hurt by something you did, and doesn't know how else to get back at you. Too much pent-up emotion about something! But doing this to him will only make you look very unoriginal and immature, so don't return his words. Just ignore him and avoid him like the plague. Two wrongs don't make a right!

My girlfriend (of 9 years) used to do it all the time.
