Depends on how big and long your tongue is. Do you suck on the tootsie pop? Or just lick it. How you hold the pop has a lot to do with it too..Do you lick all of the tootsie or just the top of it?
You see if you are really bored, find a distinguished older gentleman. And together with his help you will find your answer and you will not be bored!!! LOL.

Everyone is different, some might take 338, some might take 378, some might never be able to keep licking it before biting into it and eating it all, and some might take them 500 licks, just like everyone says, the world will never really know, unless everyone has the same mouth, and licks the same!!!

This "joke" was cute the first time I've heard it. Now, if I had taken a lick for everytime I've seen it on here since then I bet my Tootsie Pop would be gone.
In answer to your question, I'm not a licker I'm a sucker so I don't know.

okay so my sister tried this last summer and was up to like 300 and something licks and the tootsie pop still looked the same (she finally threw it away) so I would say like 5000 or so
