Can you test drive a car in NJ with your permit at age 16?

Or can you test drive with your provisional at age 17? If neither when can you test drive cars?

At that age you can't enter into a contract, so there is no reason to test drive a car, unless you go with the people who are entering into the contract for you.

i would not allow unless parents were with you............
