I am here because to connect to human reality, one cannot ignore the impact religion and spirituality play. I am a nihilist, a satanist, an atheist, and a chaos mage. I do not believe in gods, magic, free will, eternal life, after life, supernatural. I believe that all that is observed has a rational, logical explanation, that all human action is perfectly logical and computational if only you could get the full state matrix and perceptive inputs. And yet, I've had a near-death experience and multiple out-of-body experiences that have been no less meaningful and spiritually overwhelming than was my faith in Jesus of Nazareth before faith and I went our separate ways.
I come because I stand upon the precipice of truth and see that there is a nothing in the darkness, and the only safety net is to realize that there is no safety net.
I come because truth and deception abound here; no other forum is as oriented towards discovering the truth, and no other forum is as packed with those trying desperately to deny the truth to hold to quaint little lies for fear that an extrinsically meaningless life cannot be intrinsically meaningful and that all is for naught if there is not some great balancer.
I come because this is the place where truth can be found, and truth is at greatest peril.
I come because I am nothing. I come because I am everything.
I come.
What else needs to be said?

Your reasoning like the Bibles is infallible. You gave me an epithany that I should not be here. Thank you for straightening out my life. Sincerely,

I am proselytizing for reason and logic. We get comment like yours several times a day. The bull fighting facsimile was a new one for me.

Because we and other people have questions about religion and spirituality, just like you. The last time I checked, it didn't say RELIGION AND SPIRITUALITY BELIEVERS ONLY on the section.
So, are you saying that because you posted in the LGBT (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transexual) section (2 days ago...), that you are LGBT? What gives you the right to go in there and post in their section if it's ONLY theirs?
Just food for thought! :)

Simply put, it is because I enjoy rebuffing stupidity. And if you were any sort of real believer you would invite non-believers here to have the opportunity to change their minds.

Some are here because they want to catch Christians being unloving.
Some are here because they want to be unkind.
Some are here because they are interested in what is being said.
Some are here because they have questions.
Some are here because they are looking for the love of their life.
