The secret to this lemonade recipe is to use simple syrup. The sugar is completely dissolved and blends beautifully with the tart lemon.
INGREDIENTS:
1 cup water
1 cup sugar
Juice from 4-6 lemons
4 cups cold water
PREPARATION:
Blend 1 cup water and 1 cup sugar well in small saucepan. Bring to a boil, stirring frequently, until sugar dissolves completely. Let cool and refrigerate.
Mix the syrup well with the juice from 4-6 lemons (strained or not, as you like) and stir well.
Add 4 cups cold water and mix. Try using sparkling water for some fizz! Pour into thermos or large jug, adding thin lemon slices if you'd like. I like to make more lemonade and freeze it in ice cube trays, adding the cubes to the lemonade so it's never diluted. This amount serves 6 people . You can increase the amounts of this recipe proportionately, depending on the amount of lemonade you want.
Have a good day!!

This is a very good recipe for you, since you pour some of the lemonade into ice cube trays with a sprig of mint, so that when the ice cube melts it does not water-down your drink. Making the "Sugar Syrup" is also the secret to great lemonade.
Ingredients
Makes about 2 quarts (8 servings)
1 cup water
1-1/2 cups sugar
15 to 18 medium lemons (3 cups juice)
5 cups cold water
1 lemon, washed and thinly sliced
14 small fresh mint sprigs
Preparation
For the sugar syrup, bring water and sugar to a boil in a saucepan, stirring
occasionally, until sugar dissolves. Pour into a bowl. Cool.
Microwave 5 or 6 lemons at a time on High 1 to 1-1/2 minutes, just until warm to
the touch. Cut lemons in half and squeeze juice. Discard seeds and transfer juice
and pulp to a large pitcher. Repeat with remaining lemons. Stir in cooled syrup and
water.
Measure 1-1/2 cups lemonade mixture in a 2-cup glass measure. (Stir sliced lemon
into remaining lemonade mixture; cover and set aside.) Arrange one sprig of mint
per cube in an ice-cube tray; pour in the 1-1/2 cups lemonade mixture. Freeze the
lemonade ice-cube tray 4 hours, until firm. Cover and refrigerate lemonade.
Pour lemonade into tall glasses over ice cubes.

1 tray ice cubes
1/4 cup dried lavender
2 cups boiling water
3/4 cup white sugar
8 lemons
5 cups cold water, or as needed
DIRECTIONS
Place ice cubes into a 2 quart pitcher. Place the lavender into a bowl, and pour boiling water over it. Allow to steep for about 10 minutes, then strain out the lavender and discard. Mix the sugar into the hot lavender water, then pour into the pitcher with the ice.
Squeeze the juice from the lemons into the pitcher, getting as much juice as you can. Top off the pitcher with cold water, and stir. Taste, and adjust lemon juice or sugar if desired. Pour into tall glasses, pull up a lawn chair and a good book, and relax!

Get a 1 gallon pitcher. In the pitcher, add 2 cups of lemon juice and 2 cups of sugar (or Splenda spoonful). Add enough water to bring the level up to 1 gallon. (**this does NOT mean add 1 gallon of water**) Stir well until sugar is dissolved, and float a few lemon slices on top for garnish.

It's best to do it to your taste. But just take a few lemons, squeeze the juice out of them, add water and sugar (to your liking) and there ya go. I like homemade much more than canned, mix, or condensed. More natural and refreshing.
