Yes. Many people will tell you no. I've spoken with hundreds of veterans and served myself. Some people who served had bad experiences, some good, but I've never met anyone who truly regretted it. The people who regret are the ones who never give the military a shot. Do it for yourself and your future.

i'm not thoroughly effective related to the Airforce becasue i replace into in the army, yet i'm guessing that's comparable. besides, I knew some people who had stages while they enlisted. The degree helped them in that all of them began as an E-3 or E-4 while maximum initiate out as an E-one million. this might recommend which you would be making greater pay from the commencing up. The degree additionally helped with advertising factors, and after those persons went to PLDC (NCO college), they made SGT rank extraordinarily speedy. you may desire to understand that enlisted rank and officer rank are 2 diverse, thoroughly separate animals. officers in many cases initiate out in ROTC in college and then they are commissioned, or they visit between the service academies and are commissioned. there is OCS (officer canidate college), although that's greater uncommon and you may desire to get a advice from an officer, which isn't straightforward to get. the quick answer on your question is which you will under no circumstances get promoted from enlisted rank to officer rank, the army would not paintings like that.

That is a very difficult decision to make. Look on line for jobs in other areas. You do not have to stay in your home town. Post your resume on line and see who answers etc. Give it time before you make up your mind on service. Also Pray God will direct you.
