Go for the miniature schnauzer.
I own one and she is very well behaved, friendly, and downright cute.
We've had her for nine years, she still acts like a puppy, and is very healthy.
Schnauzers are very loving....and they are cuddlers!

For people with allergies you want a dog with hair not fur (beagle & JR have fur, not certain about the shcnauzer, and the shih-tzu has hair). Basically dogs with hair are hypo-allergenic and do not shed. You should note that dogs with hair must be groomed because it continues to grow like our hair does.

First off you need to decide which dog you really want.... in your list you have dogs with mild to hyper personalities. Second I am allergic to dogs also and with your list you really don't need to worry about allergies,,,,small dogs aren't nearly as bad as big dogs. I chose the dog I wanted that worked best with my personality. I now have two small dogs and bath them at least once every two weeks and I sweep/vacumme my home weekly. I don't really do anything extra that anyone with no allergies should do. You need to chose the dog that fits best with you because you don't want to buy a dog and later get rid of it because it doesn't fit with you or your family.

I have 2 shih tzu's in my house and I am very allergic to dogs. I don't have any problems with them and they don't shed much.

All of them are good. Depening on your age though I probably wouldn't get a Jack Russell as they can be very high maintenance.

I am allergic to all dogs and i wanted one so i now get allergy shots once every two weeks. If you think you would want to do that just see and allergist.

Get one with short hair, that way the dander will blow off the dog easier reducing allergies.

I HAVE YOUR ANSWER! It's called a "Labra-doodle." It is a (newer) breed that is bred to be hypo-allergenic! My parents' friends breed them. They are a Laborador Retriever and Poodle cross--they're great pets, friendly and good-natured. You might do a google or yahoo search for this breed.

One that does not shed, look it up on the internet. Poodles, Shiztues, and chihuahuas are very common dogs that dont shed.
