When I've been with my boyfriend, I've been holding it in. He has never farted in front of me. Should I break the ice (and the wind)?

My stepsister farts and burps in front of her boyfriend all the time... they laugh together, but I doubt he respects her as classy and elegant... They break up constantly, even though she tries to do everything for him. So I think it's really your responsibility to hold off the illusion as long as possible, it's common courtesy to try not to fart in front of people in general. If you get married, take some bean-o.

Farting infront of somebody is very unbecoming. IF you can hold it, do so. Dont try to break the ice in such manner as there are many ways to do it. It is a disgusting thing to do even when you become husband and wife.

Breaking wind is considered by some cultures to be a sign of health whilst others view it as a normal human condition, whatever your boyfriends view it is considered in most countries in the west to be a sign of bad manners, especially if you do not excuse yourself for doing so, if you would like to be more human then break wind and excuse to see what the reaction will be. regards lf

You should never fart in front of anyone if you have a choice, excuse yourself to the bathroom if you can. However, it can't always be helped and it is a natural function, so you shouldn't be embarrassed either

YES... you should jokingly tell your b/f you have to fart when you really don't have to just to see his response if he is grossed out by it then you have nothing to worry about but if he says go ahead baby let R rip then you'll know it's okay to for the next time... but don't just do it out of the blue your first time it's kinda gross and embarrassing

If you have to fart just do it! Maybe he is afraid of offending you thats why he hasn't done it. It is a natural thing and if you can't do that infront of the guy you love then maybe you aren't as comfertable with him as you thought. Just do it and if he says eww or thats nasty who cares. He'll get over it! He's a guy tho just remember that he is more gross then you ;)

im much like you in the sense that i too hold it in around my bf but occasionally you cant and it slips out. which is ok since he does it to me all the time. its a natural thing every one does it no matter how gross or nasty they think it is. if you dont want to do it in front of him make an excuse to leave the room like saying you have to go to the bathroom or your going to go get a glass of water. but remember you cant always get away and you cant always hold them in.

If you want too!!! I just don't think that it is a good thing for a female to do! I know that we are all human, and that some guys does it and don't care, but it's just not lady like to me! Excuse yourself and walk off to the side, or into another room.
