I'm really surprised that no one mentioned caffeine. People are much more likely to use caffeine in their lives than other stimulants, and most people don't even consider it a drug. Quite the contrary, caffeine has a relatively powerful array of effects, and one of which is increasing anxiety (by way of its action on norepinephrine, which is a stimulatory neurotransmitter often associated with panic attacks).
A former pharmacology professor of mine used to call caffeine 'panic-o-genic', to describe its tendency to induce a panic attack even in people who don't normally have them (at relatively high doses).

Sugar, alcohol, smokes, a lack of sleep and a lack of exercise. Rx drugs, cold medicines- anything that effects you physically can make your mind "think" itself into a panic. But a panic attack isn't physical. It's all in your head. Your thoughts create an idea that in turn cause your body to react. Youd body doesn't react on it's own- it's a subconscious thought pattern. You literally "think" yourself into a panic attack.
The only way to stop having an attack is to re-train your subconscious mind, because panics are basically a bad habit.... despite what multi-billion dollar drug makers want you to believe.

Anything that increases your heart rate i.e. any stimulant. The main thing to avoid is caffiene! I know... the terror of no more coffee/sodas! Since caffiene increases your heart rate, you are essentially more susceptible to an attack. I always advise to avoid caffiene, and it seems to help. Try it for a couple weeks and see for yourself.

Don't know the chemical names, but drain cleaner, bleach, hemlock, cyanide, amonium chloride, and rat poison all come to mind. This is because if I accidently ingested any of these, I would panic.
