Basically, in both the cases you indulge in sexual activities. But in the former case you do it with a pinch of love, whereas in the later case you do it just for sexual pleasure. Prime motive in making love is "love" and sex is secondary whereas "in having sex" prime motive is doing sex and love is secondary.

Usually, man term it "Having sex" and women/girls term it "making love".

Nevertheless, a good question.

Making love is when it truely is love that is between the 2 people. There is passion and searching for the thing that makes your partner happy and longing to just touch and be with that person. Sex is just casual and a "lets get this done" type of attitude. There are no feelings involved when its just sex. Too many young people now days mistake the 2 but there is a huge difference!

Im not an expert or anything. Heck, i've never had sex before but i think there is a difference though, between "making love" and "having sex". "Making love" is having intercourse with someone you love (eg. husband/wife) while "having sex" is casual intercourse with anyone of the opposite gender merely for pleasure, thrill or fun. When you make love with someone, it suggests connection and togetherness but "having sex" as you put it is just done because because one feels it should be done or it needs to be done. No real passion has to exist between the two for them to "have sex" but passion is a must if they decide to "make love".

Making love is a spiritual connection. You both love each other and want to be as one together. To just have sex is more of an animal thing. Making love is much better than just a f***.

Making love is consideration for each other, taking your time so both party will be well please and enjoying the touching and moving of each other. On the other hand, having sex is just a act between two people to release some bend up hombre.

I feel making love is something very passionate between a couple and it is not done with someone on a whim. I feel sex is the scientific term and lacks emotion. Making love is composed of love, comitment, understanding, and mutual satisfaction i.e.,emotional,mental,physical.

Making love is a mental/emotional combined with the physical, it actually increases the amount love you have for each other, therefore "making" love.

Having sex is a physical act that is pleasurable and has less to do with emotional love.

there is a very thin line between making love and having sex, but its very meaningful. sex can be termed as a physical exercise but making love is divine, it has its emotional outcome in it. u will realise it when u make love to someone truly u feel loved one for.

If you are making love, you don't necessarily have to be having sex. Making love is just creating special, intimate moments with someone you are in love with or falling in love with. You could make love without intercourse. It may sound confusing but having sex is just intercourse with basically anyone.
