I am an incredibly tall and thin attractive blonde who dresses nice, has a nice body and everything else. For some reason, I enjoy hanging out with the least popular kids at school, because that's the kind of company I enjoy. Anyways, this cute and rich guy admitted that he didn't talk to me more because he hated me because he was afraid of being nice to me because of his status, and then he apologized. Does popularity really matter? I thought looks were more important.

How shallow. Looks are not everything. Personality is. That is why you are hanging out with the least popular kids. They have personality and are not shallow like the cute and the rich kids. If he is so worried about his "status", then don't sink to his level. It is better to be liked for who you are than what you look like. Are you happy with your friends? So what does it matter. Be yourself.

If this guy is that shallow about being outside of his "status" then he doesn't have much class. That's what it all comes down to. Not how cute you are or what you economical status is but really how much class you have. If you can hold your head high and feel comfortable associating with anyone regardless of their looks or money then you will go far in this world. Do not be one of the shallow people, they will drain your individuality right out of you.

Popularity shouldn't matter at all. It should be what is on the inside. All the popular(not all but allot) of the popular kids I graduated with are not so great these days. Not so skinny! Not so popular...Pretty is as pretty as on the inside! Someones heart is what you should go by.

Yes I would, popularity doesn't matter what matters if you like the person. Good luck in the future.

Neither is important. What matter is who you are.

Myself, if I were popular or rich or goodlooking, I'd try to use that to make others happy. I hope so, at least....

I agree with answers 1 & 2. It's so "grade school-ish" to even consider something as trivial as "popularity".

Popularity matters to people that it matters to. If you are not in the crowd , or don't want to belong to that crowd it doesn't matter. Popularity is a bit fakey, but we all have to deal with it.

well to some people they care about more about what other people might think then really going for what they feel. if he is not talking to you because he is scared of being nice then he is not even worth talking to.
