I am Scottish and my wife is Asian, and we live in the United States.
We have had no problems with our children, how they are treated by other children and adults. We have a boy - 8 yrs old and a girl who is 5.
We have raised our children to have respect and self-acceptance for themselves and for others, no matter what a persons color, culture, race or even religion(or atheistism) is. They love and accept all people!
Our children are outgoing, enjoy sports, and love being around people of all races, as well as mixed races.
For some it may be difficult. But for our children it is not, only because they love and accept themselves for who and what they are, as they were taught to do. And others seem to enjoy our childrens company.
They are kids though, not perfect. My children sometimes do fight with each other. My son was taught to never hit or hurt a girl, so my daughter takes advantage of that and beats on him at times when I'm not around.
Every family has to deal with children fighting at times.
So my wife and I are biracial parents, and have at least so far, had had no problems whatsoever with our children being treated poorly because they're mixed as you call it.
It is different for every family though.

I knew some biracial kids and a friend works at a daycare that has some bi racial kids.
The truth is that not all have it terrible. But from experience most do have it harder in different areas.
My advice is that if you must be together do not have children, they have it bad enough as it is. Or better yet, find a nice black man that you can start a family with.
As much as people like to have rose colored glasses, racism still exists.

i am white and my baby daddy is black. my son is 3 now and he knows what he is. he says he is half white n black. we live in the mid west and honestly the only time it bothers my son is when we are out and the older generation (60's and up) stare at us. otherwise he has no problem at school or anywhere else. he is an all around happy energetic guy. given how much has changed in the years i think most people have gotten better about bi-racial children.
good luck and i hope i helped out a bit

I have three bi-racial children.
12, 12 and 9. I personal have had no trouble, but I could see where they might eventaully run into a problem.
I just made sure they always knew that their are some people out their that are bigots and that they should just ignore them.

it's hard raising any kid.
some biracial kids sail thru it.
some struggle.
no different than any other kid.
some kids sail thru public schools,
some struggle.
it's not because of their race.
yes, they will face certain social stigmas or stereotypes.
but nothing major that will ruin their life.
yes they might be mad at you at some point.
but they will get over it.

Why wouldn't they? it mostly depends on where you live on how bad it may be. My son is mixes, but mostly went to Christian schools and never had a problem.

i dont think there is any problem with that. my dad is arabian and my mom is armenian, so i am mixed. and my boyfriend is white when i am arabian and armenian. i dont think its a problem. i think it will make your children look unique, and theres nothing wrong with that. its better that they wont look like EVERY other kid, ya kno?
