Shot once every 6 months, the pills are practically useless as they are not absorbed by the intestine. (So says my MD nutritionist, who is awesome)

The shots don't even sting, honestly, I get them twice a year. I can tell when I'm getting close to the time I need one, and I can sure tell when it's on board, it's such a huge difference!

Do as the doctor says. See a doctor if you have not seen one yet.

But in an acute case shots are given first and the person is put on pills right away and advised to take it for a period of time, as needed.

Shots work faster...but prolonged medication on tablets are more convenient.

Shots. Pills are useless. Your doctor will tell you whether you need one or not, it's common for anemia.
