All the opinions aside (and no one has yet proven there IS a single best time), the very best time is whatever time of day makes you most likely to do it regularly and put forth a good, hard effort.
Me - I really have to do it first thing in the morning, before breakfast. If I don't I find a million excuses develop during the day that keep me from getting to the gym. If I've already showered, that's one more excuse.
I know I started going in the am originally because it supposedly burns more fat because your body has nothing available to burn except what is stored as fat. I'm not sure that is true, but it still feels logical.
To counter that though, I've heard you can't work as hard on an empty stomach, so it is better to have a lean carbohydrate/protein meal and work out an hour or so later.
Again, I can't tell you which is true if either, but the one known truth is that if you don't do it, you gain nothing.
My doctor told me to do anything strenuous, like weight training or cardio early in the day (I do both), then do something very low key, like a long walk, that won't elevate the heart rate much to burn off extra adrenalin that is in your system so you sleep better. Better sleep does help weight loss, as well as many other body systems.
So choose what you think best fits your lifestyle and stick with it.

Somebody is pulling anybody's chain. Sporting items retail outlets do not promote clinical instruments. Although there's a new clinical gadget EXCISE tax potent on Jan a million, 2013, it is assessed on the corporation's stage or the primary wholesale stage for imported items. Like all excise taxes, it then is buried within the rate of the items themselves and is under no circumstances further on the factor of sale. Most items bought within the US incorporate hidden excise taxes. Excise taxes are one of the crucial oldest types of tax within the US, and date again earlier than the US grew to become an unbiased country. More almost always recognized ones incorporate the state and federal excise taxes on freeway fuels, alcoholic drinks, and tobacco merchandise, however many different items comparable to tires, ammunition, a few apparel, metal, aluminum, and so on. all incorporate hidden excise taxes. If your receipt suggests a "clinical excise tax" take it again and insist a whole refund. Cabela's isn't accumulating that tax legally seeing that none in their items are area to the tax and despite the fact that they have been it used to be already integrated within the wholesale cost that they paid.

That depends on your own metabolism. Most find it best right after work, others find it best first thing in the morning, and few find it best an hour of so before bed. Unfortunitally you'll have to try almost a month of working out at a certain time to see how it affects the rest of your daily activities.

i use to work out right after i woke up in the mornings now is do it right before bed. I always enjoyed doing it in the morning. I have always heard to do it first thing in the morning, so that you will do it, you may not do it as the day goes by, plus at night it winds you up so you can't go to bed

The most effective way to lose fat is aerobic exercise in the "moderate" fat-burning range, ideally first thing in the morning before you eat. When you wake your body is ready to burn fat and your levels of growth hormone are highest at that time. Later in the day it can take up to 30 minutes just to put your body into a fat-burning mode.

You shouldnt work out if you havent had something to eat, you could pass out from low blood sugar. It doesnt really matter what time of the day you work out, no matter what anyone says to you. Calories are calories. Usually it matter more what you do after you work out. For example, you should have lean protein within 45 min of working out because it promotes muscle building. Work out at a time of day that you can stick with. Make sure you've eaten something before you work out.
