I think she likes me but I also think we are way too much alike. I think my husband married his Mom. Worst story-8mos pregnant and she argues with me about my citizenship, which made me fly into a rage. Best story-I was having issues with my own parents and she was very understanding and caring, to the point where it brought me to tears. We have had our differences but we are friends. She's cool.

My MIL is the best there is. She calls ME, not my husband. She is always thoughtful, picking out beautiful gifts for me. She always calls me on my birthday, makes my favorite cake and tells me she loves me. I wish every woman in the world had a MIL like mine. She has taught me more than my own mother in as far as being a good person. Learning to live, laugh, cry. I am truly blessed. She is my second MIL, though and my first was horrible. She meddled in our affairs, caused fights and was just awful. I do know both sides of the sword, and I would never change my MIL again!

Lots of questions on mother in laws today. Mine had a tough exterior but a heart of gold. She passed away two months ago from two kinds of cancers. My husband and I have just been married a year and 6 months into our marriage, his mom took ill with colon cancer, which spread to her liver. She was gone 6 months later. It was unreal watching her deteriorate. I love her, and I always will. I would've liked more time with her, and I know my husband really misses his mom.

Oh honey, I have both. My MIL isn't very nice at all, buy my husband's MIL is. I wouldn't even get into the problems that I've had with my MIL.
