Honestly it is all going to depend on you two. Can it work? Absolutely! Will it...one way to find out.
I have been in relationships with guys 8 and 9 years younger than me. Neither worked but I've dated older guys to that haven't worked.
If you have found someone who cares for you and you enjoy his company, then be happy for what you have and forget about silly people who have inconsequential rules about dating and relationships. All that matters is that you work.

I know someone who has a step mom six months younger than them-self. The parents have been married more than 18 years.
Age has nothing to do with the relationship working. It's your values, integrity, morals, belief systems, and love.
Age is only an issue when it's a self confidence, or esteem issue.

How does this man make you feel?If you take each others breath away and think about each other when you are apart then you are truly blessed! I've tried dating men that where up to 10 years older than me. Most of them are set in their ways and the rest where old farts. And what is it with men over 45 and facial hair? Too lazy to keep a clean shaven appearance? Anyway, best of luck to you and your intended, may you be the apple of each others eye for many years to come!

congrats, but jus to let u no, marriages where the female is older dont really work out, if they do, the female always has this feeling which scares her "wot if my husband findds someone younger?" dats wot haunts em, but if u've known each other for a long time and no will get on, then there's no problems at all

I used to have a crush on some one 2 yrs younger than me(i knw its not the same as 12yr age gap) but y shudnt it work?As long as u both love each other and make each other happy, go ahead!

My husband is 9 years older than me and it works. I mean every marriage has it's up and downs but nothing you cannot handle.
