Everyone needs a visa to travel to Australia. As a UK citizen you are eligible for an Electronic Travel Authority which is applied for over the internet at www.eta.immi.gov.au. The cost is $AUD 20.00.

If you do not obtain the ETA you will not be allowed to board the plane!

You do NOT need a visa for Australia . Being part of the commonwealth you are given a 3 month tourist visa (stamp) at the boarder of Australia when you get off the plane . just make sure you have 500 pounds per month to live off

as for the answer above mine , how stupid is that person .. thinking that you might not even need a passport .. must be an american who has not left the states !

Contact your embassy in Australia. They will know if you need a visa or a passport.
