Katsulover, you are a very respectful anti-illegal immigration. Haven't seen many of those since I started on Y Answers. Thanks!

I think we should allow people the opportunity to come here legally, as opposed to have unenforceable laws that are there just to explote the immigrants.

I try not to ever be rude, but I do have my days when nonsense/sarcasm seems to seep into my mind, but I will fight it just for you.
I understand fully the reasons that most people come to this country and why they come here illegally.I can feel the fear and concern of a father wanting to provide a better life for his family. But seeing no way to do it in his home country.I can understand that he can make more money in a day than he can all week or more in his home country.I am not insensitive to this fact of the illegals life.
But by the same token,do you have any idea how most Americans feel about ,picking up the bill for that better life. Most Americans are very generous,if asked they will give you the shirt off their backs. But they also hate being forced to do anything.it seems to be a trait we inherited from our fore fathers. The marching in the streets, the demanding ,the descarcreation of this countrys flag.Well that has offended a lot of people. You cant expect them to like that.Just for a moment place yourself in our shoes, look at it thru someone elses eyes. Its not hate of Hispanics or anyother people. Its the way the illegal went about it that has really made people angry.
I am anti illegal.But I live in a border state and I can site you a 1000 reasons,why I feel that way.
.But instead I will only say this.
I could never hate anyone over this issue, its just the way I am.But I do read all sides and all questions and answers to this issue.I do keep an open mind.Every one should.
I only know that this is a very important problem in my state and all over the country.I hope this nation can overcome, and resolve this and soon

I'm not Latino, And I'm not racist. But I couldn't help but give my opinion on this. I don't like it one bit, the older I'm getting, the more my rights are being taken from me because the government is working so hard to give illegals some rights. they say they are discriminated against? How so? Let me tell you something. I've been looking for an apartment in Orange County, CA. Just this last Friday I went to look at one in Anaheim. The whole office staff was mexican. I was actually told that my income was over qualified by $1000.00 a year, and I couldnt have the place. Has any one ever heard of this before? If so, please e-mail me and tell me what it's all about. I've heard of being over qualified for a job, but never for a place to live. My right to have that apartment was taken from me because I'm white. My point is, respect goes both ways. There has been a lot of disrespect towards the citizens of this country coming from illegals, and that's the reason so many americans hate them. Also, isn't it a beautiful site to see a latino standing on the exit ramps of the freeways selling flowers, strawberries, and oranges? Reminds me of what I used to only see in tijuana.

I think it wrong !!! because in Puerto Rico we have that same problem with some Cubans and Dominicans (that come illegally) tho they come here and do all the jobs that we wouldn't do soooo hey thats great ! my point of view is this Its wrong and it gives Latinos a bad name we get discriminated because most Americans don't know how to tell us apart. They have the same rights as everyone else (the immigrants) because after all USA is a country of Immigrants so they should have the same opportunity as an American to become a citizen legaly oh and as long as they dont cause trouble in society (against the law)

I'm half South American (and half white).

I'm against illegal immigration,
1. because it is illegal.
2. it gives ALL Hispanics a bad name because many Americans do not acknowledge the difference between a Mexican (majority of illegal immigrants) and the rest of the Spanish world.

Although I am against it, I still feel they have human rights and should NOT be treated like animals just because they tried to make their life better.

I know their actions are wrong and they should be punished (being deported is punishment enough), however, for the most part, their intentions are good. I think that is what most people fail to see and understand, or at least care to understand. Many people just see it is a blatant attack on American "way of life", however it really is not.

I'm half-half on the immigration issue. I wonder why they can't protest over there to make their country better. Although it does show the lengths they will go to support their family which I know most of them are doing. But I hate that I have to know spanish to get payed good. ( I am hispanic but in my house we only spoke english, so I'm sterotyped ALL the time)

im from south america. i came here legally. i was a tourist then i decided to go to school so i change my status to student. eventually, i met my now husband and we got married. he loves my country and he wants to move there, which im all for it. when i came here, i didnt come thinking im going to move here, it was to pass some time because i was bored.

i think this country has so much immigration because they give medical care for free and usually who comes illegally is the poor looking for work and a better life for their family.

i dont think is right that the old people from the US is suffering without medical care, not being able to afford medicines because its too expensive. its not fair to them or the war veterans. they gave their lives for their country and this is how they get paid.

i think this people that come here abuse the system, i think they do it because they come from a lower background so they werent tought otherwise. this are people that hardly went to elementary school or even finished school at all.

i dont want to offend anybody, this is what i think, because i've seen the people in my own country, usually the poor are uneducated because they need to work since they are little otherwise they wont eat. its sad really and when i think of this i understand why they want to come here. but when i see theres child molesters or rapists that come from central or south america it makes me wonder why can this people be here legally when theres so many more that want to have an honest life and they cant.

I am against it i know a lot of people make this into a race issue, but really it is not, there are several trades that they are entering, and under bidding Americans by half in labor cost, what use to pay,3.50 a sq yrd,is now 1.50,in the carpet industries,i know of several people leaving this trade because they can no longer make a living,as well with construction jobs, they are taking jobs from American Hispanics, check around there are no whites, doing a lot of comstruction, anymore,i am a truckdriver, and we are nervouse of what will happen in the near future for are trade,be afraid people this will end bad for alot of us americans, they do not only pick, fruit anymore, they will elimanate us from alot of good jobs soon!

Illegal immigration is criminal. I don't buy that BS about how they respect and love America and want to be citizens. If they had respect they would obey our laws.

About that Mexican citizenship thing: I don't think they are owed anything for their "contribution". They have been receiving free benefits of American citizenship since they violated our border to get here: access to libraries, city parks and services, clean streets, police and fire protection, the best health care resources on the planet, free beaches and national forests, transportation system, municipal services, pop culture, well-stocked grocery stores...the list is unending. They deplete the resources, but don't contribute.
They have nothing to complain about and they are wrong.
If they have a job they get paid for it, like we all do. But real Americans don't go around claiming that the country would fall apart if we didn't show up for work to clean toilets. Well, teachers and nurses sometimes do, but that's just union propaganda.

I'm of Hispanic (Mexican) descent.

I am Mexican-American. I think illegal immigrants who deserve it should be granted amnesty.

I am Honduran, Mexican, Native American mix. I think that everybody should just be friends, you know like treat money if it is like a big stupid game, now that would be fun. Like monopoly. Money should not be taken seriously, since many United Statesians don't like illegals cause they say they steal taxes money thingy, everyone just ends up getting shot or something. This response sounds kinda nonsensey but it is tha truth.
