My uncle has a tattoo on his face on his left cheek, his arms and legs. He also has a PhD in Engineering. Although he is highly qualified there are always misconceptions of his character due to his tattoos especially the one on his face. He is actually cool about it and doesn't give a damn of what other people think. Everyone will always have their opinions so let them. People with tattoos shouldn't care what tattoo haters say and tattoo haters have a right to their opinion without imposing their beliefs on others. This is a open forum so questions and answers can be put forward by anyone so relax people. Btw, I have two big tattoos and no, they are not on my face... lol...

I'm not against them but I don't have any & probably never will. No, the people against them should not have to find another place. The reason is free speech. Maybe some people hope you may see things differently once they share their opinion. But of course that is up to each individual to decide. I, too get frustrated when people "diss" things I am in favor of, but that's just how it works. We don't all agree & in the end I think the world is better because of it.

They're jusy voicing their opinion, like everyone else. It makes people feel good to get their two cents in. People are social animals and we conform to the pack. You wouldn't wear something that everyone would think is hideous - such as a beehive hairdo. If everyone some day decides that tattoos are hideous, you'd change your mind about them too. I'm neutral on tattoos myself. I doubt I'll ever get one but I don't have a problem with other people who have them.
And yanno, they're probably not browsing the tattoo section - they're probably just looking at most recent questions and they see one about "should I get a such-and-such tatoo" and they figure, oh, I can answer that one. That's easy! NO!

Thank you!! I am glad someone finally said this. I don't understand it either. Why be in the tattoo section if you are that strongly against them?!? Ugh! It irritates me. If you don't like them, then thats fine. But why come in here and say rude things to those of us that do like them??? Again, as I said a few minutes ago in another question I answered, this society is becoming over-run with ignorance and closed mindedness. If you dont like tattoos, stay outta the tattoo section!! Jeez!

I admit, I am not a big fan of Tattoos, but I also admit that I have seen some really cool ones too. For those that want them, it is their personal choice and I don't have a problem with that. The only consideration I ever tall people - is make sure you WANT to live with your tattoo for the rest of your life - if yes then go for it!!

They are just giving an opinion and apparently buying into the stereotyping of tattooed people. I love tattoos, I have some and so does my husband. If it was 20 years ago and we were our current age, we would have been known as Yuppies. We are successful, educated professionals, and yes, we have ink. VERY far from the prostitutes and drunken bikers who used to be the only inked people.

Hasn't anyone ever told you who gives a **** about what other people think! Freedom of opinion, freedom of expression! Your body is saying something with no words. People visualize a stereotype that we all can not help but do when we look at someone. i personally do not have tattoo's, i am attracted to people who have them, just guys not girls. i've always wanted one but i think if i ever do decide to get one it's gunna mean something very symbolic in my life vs. just getting one just to get one. Umm, but really who gives a ****. It really doesn't matter.

First of all, I have nothing against tattoos. In fact, I have one.
But people answer like that because that is their opinion. If you ask for their opinion, you're gonna get it.

Personally I could put the money to better use. But what the hell go ahead and waste it. After all it's not mine.
