With the added space, can I get invisiline instead of metal. He refuses to tell me until he takes a model of mouth and works with it

I had 2 teeth taken from the top and 2 from the bottom because I had crowding. He had to do that before he put my braces on. I don't think you can get Invisaline, and if you can your dentist will be able to tell you. If your going to go along with this whole procedure then be prepared what your dentist might tell you. Most likely he will put regular braces on you until the gaps get a little smaller. Why don't you try the cosmetic clear braces, they are alot better. There like regular braces but the brackets are clear and rubber bands are clear. Good Luck.

There is a thing called a lower lingual arch that should ease the crowding a little bit. This would at least prevent you from having 2 teeth removed.

Yeah, I think it's difficult for him to tell you in advance. It's hard for him to predict also how your teeth are going to react to the extra space. Did he tell you how soon after pulling the teeth, he is going to put in the braces?

Based on my own experience with braces, I think there is a good chance you'll get metal. But it's hard to say. You'll just have to be patient.

Invisalign is for minor cases only. So the orthodontist has to wait to find out what your case is like. Invisalign also costs more then regular braces.
