If you had part of your sentence suspended and put on probation instead, you might have to serve the suspended portion of the sentence. They can also add additional terms to your sentence as a punishment for the violation.

They should have put that in your probation rules or if you can dig up the very last paper you got from the court as to your sentencing. You usually get a suspended sentence or fine in lieu of successful completion of probation. If you violate that, the suspended sentence is then imposed.I

You'll end up doing your original sentence that was imposed but put on the back burner providing you can follow the rules of probation.

The probation officer that you have been visiting in his or her office, will now pay you a unscheduled and possibly unpleasant visit at your home.

You go to jail, and then you go before the judge, who detrmines your fate.

it is up to the probation officer...if he/she is cool you will be in no trouble...if they are a d i c k you will get revocated (i.e. have to do the entire sentence in jail)
