At 65 pounds, I would thing a yellow lab. Possibly an English setter, but most of them have have spots on them, either liver colored or black sometimes. Springer Spanials shouldn't be 65 pounds, neither should cockers, brittany's or sussex spanials. Labs make good bird dogs, and are blonde in color, along with black, and chocolate labs. Most other "bird dogs" don't reach 65 pounds.

Post a picture. Could be a yellow Labrador Retriever or a Golden Retriever or mix with some of these in it, just as an offhand guess.

If she has short hair, she is probably a yellow lab. If she has longish hair with fringes, she is probably a Golden Retriever. If you had a picture of her, I could tell you in an instant.

My best guess would be a yellow lab. or a golden retriever but it may also be a tan cocker spaniel...or a brittany.. it is probally a mut if you can't identify it.

There is no definite way to know other than taking her to see a vet. Your vet can do a simple blood test, I believe, and tell you exactly what breed or breeds that she is.
