i just went away for a week to my mums mates house and that week was the best week of my life. we didnt need to go out to enjoy ourselfs and i felt closer to this guy and his mum than i do with my own family is this really weird

The way to figure out who cares for you the most is to ask yourself who would be there for you taking care of you if you were dying. Or who would be supportive of you if something devastating happened in your life.

hiya, u ought to try my family! i just don`t feel part of this family at all. i have it going through my mind all the time. all i want to do is get away from them which i will do in the future. my mates are more like my brothers. any family meetings i get excluded. i have 2 brothers and 2 sisters and i`m the youngest (44). around my family i have no confidence but around my friends i`m as confident as anyone can be. it`s strange but even as a kid i never felt part of this family and i just can`t put my finger on why

A lot of times families seem really distant, and when you make friends, you get closer to the ones taht didn't bring you up. Just remember that your family will always be there for you, and it does seem weird, but it's really a gift that you can connect with someone other than your family.

What you have got to understand is that these people were making an effort because they had a guest. They probably are not so much fun all the time. Personally I think I should have been royalty, but it just didn't turn out like that.

It's probably just because they are a novelty at the moment - if you were really a part of their family and you visited your own family in the same way you would probably feel the same about them too.

I always thought that I was swapped at birth! With my expensive tastes, I think I was born to some rich dudes, and swopped in the hospital (LOL) Anyhow, luv my Mom and Dad to death, so maybe I got the better end of the deal!

I have felt like this before as well, but I wouldn't say it constitues speculating something as serious as being swithed as a baby.
Maybe you are unhappy about something at home, which leads to to think up things like this. No offence, but that is what I figured my situation to be
