scrape the black tops off with the butter knife and crush them up into bread crumbs...or just toss em out to the chicken coop, they'll eat em.

Burnt toast can be a prop for Act I, scene 6 in Stephen Sondheim's "Company". As the character Amy says shortly before her wedding, "I blew the toast"! ;-P
Of course, as Erin added, toast is indispensible for Rocky Horror audience participation.

I have heard that burnt toast could be used for teeth whitening, but didn't know how it worked. I found this:
Burnt Toast Teeth Whitening:
2 pieces burnt toast (crushed)
3 drops peppermint oil
— Dip toothbrush in peppermint oil, then crushed toast, brush and rinse.

The Trash...heck even the birds or dogs won't eat it....just throw it outside and in time, usually a few days, the elements will take care of it.
