the average size of shoes is about 10-11, both boys and girls should be wearing as 5 or 6. Chubby would be a 6x.Skinny would be a 5 slim. Hope this helps.

The way clothing sizes used to work, an average 6 year old would wear a size 6. However, I have alot of friends that work in retail, especially stores like Dillard's and such. They said that clothes have sized down considerably. On average, girls are wearing clothes 2 sizes bigger than their age. This is happening in adult clothing too. For example, where a girl would usually wear a 6, they are now wearing 8. The size of the clothes themselves is smaller than it was just 5 years ago. I have a 9 year old that's chubby, but far from fat and she wears a size 12 most times to be comfortable. If you're buying clothes, check with the store to see if their sizes run by age and average size or if their clothes have downsized.
Shoes for that age could be 12 to 1. That varies too, but it's pretty average.

My 6 year old son wears a size 6x., and is a size 13-1 in shoe size. I also know a 6 year old boy who wears a 8 and a size 5 shoe.. It all depends on the build of each child. Genetics plays a big part.

I have a 6 year old daughter that looks about average compared to other 6 year olds, she is not real real skinny like bones, but looks healthy and she is not short, but she wears a size 11.5 in shoes and size 6 pants and she wears a 7/8 in shirts cus the size 6's tend to be tighter......I would go with size 6 pants and 7/8 tops ..just my opinion .:P
also, shoes if they are a little big they will grow into them, but anywhere between an 11 and 12 is prob average

I'm going to take a shot in the dark here and guess....maybe size 6? I mean, that's why they call it size 6.
As far as shoes, my 4 y/o has big feet and wears a 12, so I'm thinking size 12 shoes, but size 6 clothes. Either 6 or 6X.
That is unless you are somewhere besides the US, then I can't help you.
