I use the Underground - avoiding advertising - but we all know what I mean - there are two in the town that I work in. I buy jacket potatoes because they are a better bet than sandwiches elsewhere.
There used to be a lovely little butcher/baker in Marchmont Street (I think it was that street at 90 degrees to the front of Senate House) that made sandwiches fresh in front of your eyes when I worked in London. Unfortunately that was a long time ago and the world has probably turned a few times in the last 10 years!

I love good bread too. But, I also want to take over the world.
Hop across the pond, Mate. We get good, freshly baked bread even in the Subway's which are on every street corner.

Bread aint what it used to be. Today's loaves are made using chemical agents. The main difference is the fresh yeast that is used when made at home or as it used to be in the old days. I make my own, you cant beat the smell and the taste of home made...............................

A lot is to do with health food, not much margarine or butter and little of this and even less of that!!! Best thing is to get it made to your needs at a baker's or make your own!!

Yeah its crap. There are some good delicatessen's around, they have decent bread and can maybe whip you up a decent sarnie.

It is always better & cheaper to make your own. That way you know exactly what is in them.
