Yes condoms have an expiration date. It should printed on the outside of the individual package. OR the box. Typically it is a three to five year time frame from the time they are manufactured.

Good luck !!

Good quality condoms have expiration dates. It should be printed on both the box and the individual wrapper. An expiration date means the manufacturer will stand behind its quality control process for that long. With condoms, the two biggest considerations are:

1. The latex remaining in good structural condition. and 2. The spermicide retaining its efficacy.

Your biggest concern is the latex remaining intact. Latex becomes brittle when exposed to sunlight and air. The UV light from the sunlight will break-down the latex; the air will simply dry out the material. Either case will result in the condom getting microscopic cracks or breaks (or really big ones). And, microscopic to you can be huge, free-swimming to a sperm and astromonically huge to a virus.

I think the average expiration date is about 3 yrs.

When in doubt, especially if you can't find a date on the individual packet ... buy new ones. It is worth a dollar to keep your health and your partner's health. And is much cheaper than paternity suits.

condoms are not something you want to leave to chance. if you have any doubts at all go to the pharmacy and buy new "fresh" ones. with all the STD's out there you need real protection. sure you can cure some with antibiotics but aids will kill you. unplanned pregnancies can have a real effect on your life as well.
have fun but make sure you are taking all the precautions available to you.

there is a date on the actual single condom (the wrapper of the single condom, not the condom itself.) says the date. DO stick to that. if you use it after the date, it would break alot easier. it wouldnt be safe atal!!!

and never use a condom more than once.
xhave fun!

i think the spermicide expires. thats the stuff that kills sperm to prevent fertilization. so dont use an expired condom.
