You've got a bad case of gingivitis, you need to get to your dentist NOW! I don't want to scare you, it's obviously nothing life threatening or anything, but if you don't get that seen to and the disease develops, your gums will start to recede and then your teeth may just fall out. And there's nothing you can do to reverse the process, just to stop it!

It sounds to me like you have a pretty severe case of gingivitis, if not periodontal disease. You definately need to seek professional help. I would schedule for a dental cleaning as soon as possible. If you don't have insurance or can't afford treatment try a college in your area with a dental hygiene program where you can receive excellent treatment for minimal fees.
