My boyfriend has two little boys 4 and 9 that I want to involve in giving him a gift. Going to dinner for sure but I want to also do something special.

The best way to involve children in that situation would be making the gift personalized from them. ex. a card with a picture of all 3 of you or maybe a voucher for a day out doing something fun already paid for.This will make him happy.

Kids love the zoo, and most adults do too. depends on the weather where you live though. Then you could take him on an 'adults only' dinner to a nice restraunt.
If it's colder where you are a child friendly play, movie, aquarium, something for the holidays.
