First...it's a Big Bertha driver. A good gift every golfer appreciates is a round of golf with a cart for 18 holes on a weekend at a really nice coarse. Weekends usually cost more. A round of golf with a cart on the weekend is about $ 70 or so depending on where you live. If you really want to spend around 500 bucks you could buy them a season pass without the cart. Season passes are around 500 bucks at a nice course. Hope this helps.

What I always get my golf buddies as a gift is a pre-paid round on a new course. Also buy a couple golf lessons from an instructor. These are gifts that any golfer, at any level will enjoy. Just contact the staff at any Club House and they can help you! Good Luck!

I am 14 years old and a 13.8 handicap who loves golf. If you want to get that someone a club, the best driver to get him for $400 bucks would be the Taylormade R7 460. If they don't need that, get him a round at Pebble Beach for about $425

the best gift is lessons from a pro. even Tiger still spends time with his trainer.
In Aust a one hour lesson is around $50 so its great value.
