A guy I've been kind of seeing for about 3 months (we've known each other for a few years and had always had feelings for each other and recently got back in touch, we live quite far apart so have got together 3 times and spend the w/e together, text lots every day and spek on the phone) called me on friday night, drunk, and said he didn't want anything serious, I was quite upset then at 9am the next morning called me and said he didn't mean any of that and nothing has changed in his feelings towards me, then called again that evening to say the same thing. I think he really likes me but we haven't really confessed any feelings to each other yet, I am scared to incase he isn't as into me as I am to him., I think I'm falling in love. Why do you thin he behaved like he did, was he trying to find out how I felt and test me?

I can honestly say that when people get drunk, the truth normally comes out. Sounds like you need to move on. You have only been talking again for 3 months and he is this indecisive. He isn't serious about you and could very well be in a relationship with someone. Be careful about thinking you are in love. You sound like you are more intrigued by the idea of him more than you are by the actual man he is. Please take time and analize this situation. He sounds like a big waste of time for you. Good luck.

Well men can spew nonsense when they're drunk but sometimes the truth can come out that way too. Being drunk gives them courage to say something that they can't say when they're sober and looking you straight in the eyes. Have a serious talk with him and when you're finished know where you stand with him. Frankly his behavior is very childish. Just have it out with him and see what happens. A broken heart is better than making a serious mistake.

Hey, I completly understand the whole distance thing, and I think its coz u don't see that person all the time that it can be dressed up to seem as something different i.e. you don't see his imperfections just the nice side which makes it so much easier to fall in love (trust me I know). I think you should try sitting down and talking it out, long distance relationships are hard, but if your willing to work at it then there's not that much to lose compared to so much to gain!!

Good Luck, hope this helps!!

I honestly think that he is confused about his own feelings and has some problems with committment. Talk to him and get him to open up. To be honest, people speak the truth when they are drunk. Maybe he's scared of losing you altogether. He may have feelings for you, but they could be just strong friend feelings and needs a chance to evolve. Good luck!

I think you're falling in love with a drunk and a liar. He is either telling the truth in the morning or at night, either way he's a fool. Better to move on before you get too attached and he messes up your life.

he sounds young, must of got drunk spoke with his mates/saw one of his mates having fun with a bird or something like this etc... then being the oiss head he is thought "hold on im not gonna get tied down by some evil web of domestication and entrapment" called you up and try to relaese himself from your clutches but in the process made himself out to be an idiot and totally unclear, he is evidently self pitying and immature and probably really does like you but is scared of the committment, been there myself....alls that happens is he will loose eveything.

i hate it when people 'test' each other... it's just more games people play...

it might be that he was drunk, called you, and was scared...

i would suggest comming out and telling him that you realy like him, and you see a very long and happy future for the two of you... you don't have to say the dredded 'I Love You', then again, you said that you might be falling in love, not that you're there yet...

so what i suggested is a possability...

Stop falling right now and start to run !!!

This fool is a drunk and it only means trouble for you later on

It doesn't matter what you think at this moment, it is what he is expressing that is important and that is he is dis-respecting you big time.

His friends are there laughing at you while he makes the calls and them waiting for you to take all this s**t.

Not good !!!!

I think that even though he claims that he didn't mean it, some part of him meant it. Even if he was "drunk," those words came from somewhere, they did not just come up out of the blue, ESPECIALLY if he went through the trouble of calling you.

Be very careful with your heart, don't give it away too soon if at all.

Sounds to me like he got drunk, panicked, acted like an idiot (on account of being drunk, and also being male), sobered up and came to his senses. All fairly normal man behaviour. I wouldn't worry, just keep on as you're going, but maybe have a word with him about his drinking. Good luck!
