4 Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud.

5 It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs.

6 Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth.

7 It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.

8 Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away.

9 For we know in part and we prophesy in part,

10 but when perfection comes, the imperfect disappears.

11 When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child. When I became a man, I put childish ways behind me.

12 Now we see but a poor reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known.

13 And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.

1 Corinthians 13

Well my favorite off the top of my head in regards to dealing with life are: Romans chapter 8, Jeremiah chapter 29; James chapter 1. What I get from these verses personally is that God is good, He has a good plan for you life, we face trials so that we may be more mature, and even at the end of James chapter 1 it talks about taking care of ophans and widows in distress. There are soooo many other helpful inspiring verses all throughout the Bible. I think it's Ephesians chapter 4 or 5 that is one place that talks about marriage issues.

Especially with what I'm going through right now, my life verse has been Romans 8:28: "And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to His purpose."

Matthew 38 Ye have heard that it hath been said, An eye for an eye, and a tooth for a tooth: 39 But I say unto you, That ye resist not evil: but whosoever shall smite thee on thy right cheek, turn to him the other also. 40 And if any man will sue thee at the law, and take away thy coat, let him have thy cloke also. 41 And whosoever shall compel thee to go a mile, go with him twain. 42 Give to him that asketh thee, and from him that would borrow of thee turn not thou away.

43 Ye have heard that it hath been said, Thou shalt love thy neighbour, and hate thine enemy. 44 But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you; 45 That ye may be the children of your Father which is in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on the unjust. 46 For if ye love them which love you, what reward have ye? do not even the publicans the same? 47 And if ye salute your brethren only, what do ye more than others? do not even the publicans so? 48 Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect.

Jeremiah 29:11 covers them all:

" For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end."

My favorite for more than 10 years now is this:

"But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us." (Romans 5:8)

In other words, no matter what has happened or what you've done, Christ chose to die for you and thinks you are of value. If you feel that you are in need of God's comfort, this verse describes for you the extremity of his desire for your salvation.

ezekiel 25:17 -- the past of the righteous man is beseth on all sides by the selfish of evil men, blessed is he who in the name of charity and good will shephard the weak through the valley of darkness, for he is truly his brothers keeper and the finder of lost children. and i will strike down upon thee with such vengence so he will know I am the keeper when I lay down my vengence upon thee.
