ok so ive asked this 2 times now and no1 has given me a clear answer. I want to know where in the bible, specifically, that satan lies. keep in mind, the story of adam and eve satan did NOT lie, he told them that they would become as god and gain knowledge of right and wrong, and that they would not "surely" die. they did not die that instant, infact do any of you know how long they lived after that? (well over 600 yrs?) and they did gain knowledge of right and wrong.
and Tempting is not lying. those are different. so someone show me where in the bible satan states a lie plz? (ps, i dont want answers that say - " the bible says satan is a liar " cause thats not an action preformed by satan but rather an accusation)

As you can see you're not going to get a straight answer, just more "programmed" cop outs. The Bible contains countless killings done by the "loving father" yet Christians call satan the murderer but get stuck listing more than afew if at all.

God said Adam and Eve would die.
Satan said they wouldn't.
Are they alive today?
Who lied?
Please don't make a big deal about them living another 600 years.
Did you ever read 2 Peter 3:8?
Surely you must know that Jesus referred to Satan as a liar. John 8:44.
As well, in Job Satan said Job would curse God if persecuted.
God let Satan try to prove it so. Job 2:4,5
Satan failed.
Job showed him up to be a liar.
You may wish to verify your concept / definition of 'liar'.

When Satan said to Eve, "Ye shall not surely die", it is a lie, because the opposite of that statement is "Ye shall surely die". So Satan told Eve something that was not true. He essentially said to her that she would live forever.

What I don't think you understand is that there was NO death before the fall of man. Therefore, when Satan said that they would not die, he was lying. They did die, and the fact that they did not die on the spot doesn't make a difference.

Decieving is leading somone to believe something that is not true. Lying is the same thing. Same result different aproaches. SATAN IS A LIAR. he told eve she wouldn't die if she ate the fruit. Well it might have taken a while but she DID die.

Jesus taught, "You are of your father the devil, and the desires of your father you want to do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own resources, for he is a liar and the father of it" (John 8:44, NKJV)

He (satan) also told Eve that she wouldn't die if she ate of the fruit Genesis 3:3

The Bible states that Satan is the father of lies.
John 8:44 "You belong to your father, the devil, and you want to carry out your father's desire. He was a murderer from the beginning, not holding to the truth, for there is no truth in him. When he lies, he speaks his native language, for he is a liar and the father of lies."

John 8:44
44 For you are the children of your father the devil, and you love to do the evil things he does. He was a murderer from the beginning. He has always hated the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he lies, it is consistent with his character; for he is a liar and the father of lies.

You are right. In the story of Adam and Eve, the snake does not lie, but God lies.

The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.
