I know it's a persian name and anyone can have it. Most of the people I've seen are black.
I saw this one kid in a movie playing a mexican, but he had features of a puerto rican, which he looked like a light-skinned black kid. His name is Darius Rose and I really thought he would have an accent or hispanic name.
I heard Tyler is popular in the black community and his name was Tyler in Bruce Almighty.

My mom teaches ESL in a predominantly hispanic neighborhood, Washington Heights-NYC, and I have never, nor she, met or heard anymore naming their kid Darius. I'm sure there are exceptions. But none that I have come across.
It's a pretty name though.

I grew up in So Cal and was one of like 5 white kids around my neighborhood... I didn't then, nor have I ever met a person of Latino or Hispanic decent with the name Darius- though I know two African-American men both named Darius. Then again, I've never met an African-American male named Tyler- just Caucasian males with that name. Why are you so hung up on how the name sounds or which ethnic group it belongs to? If you're naming a child- just go with what feels right! Best Wishes...

Darius doesn't appear to be a common Latino name, but Dario may be.
