It sounds even sillier when you say it...

No, it means he has a Heavenly Father whom he prayed to, is His Father, and whom he asked to forgive the ones who crucified him...now THAT makes sense.

Okay...you're ? is really dumb, but I will try to answer it. Do you know what the trinity is? When we say God, we usually referring to God the Father. But in fact, their are three separate spiritual beings that make up the God head. These beings are God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. They each have different personalities and jobs. Jesus prayed to his Father not himself. Christ did deny himself. It was the Holy Spirit that impregnated Mary. You should do a little research before you call anyone's beliefs dumb.

Your looking at it in a (natural) Human form of sense - You have to look at it in a Spiritual sense to understand - The Bible says to worship the Lord in Spirit and in Truth - we have to step out of (oursleves) if you will in order to understand God - I mean look = He's God Almighty creator of ALL THINGS - we are His creation - Our little single minded brains can't and should'nt even attempt to put God as a FINAL answer this is how it was done (basis)

God is a spirit* He had to make Himself a MAN (Jesus) for us to understand what He did for us (DIED) so he came down (which by the way, He's omnipresent) -(He was in Heaven and on earth as Jesus) He came to earth to give us an example to live by
1 Peter 2:21,
Humans problems are they analize EVERYTHING - People make God so complicated - when yet He says my yoke is easy , my burdern is light * animals eat - build houses srom the land etc... God takes care of them - how much more would He take care of You that He breathed life into*
Just find the faith he put in you and build from there *
I pray that i've somehow helped you and not confused you more - my suggestion is to find a church that speaks the truth - and ask for a bible study ;this will really help you alot - if you live any where near lake charles, louisiana i can help you - email me if so

May God give you understanding that reaches the very depths of your heart ! Toni C

It does get confusing when you try to understand the bible without studying it.
That is not a problem with Christians that study the bible. We understand the concept of God the Father, Jesus the Son, and the Holy Spirit.

well ok...man is made into 3 different parts.
1. body (flesh)
2. soul ( your emotions, 5senses, feeling,,etc)
3. spirit (your mind/intellect)

the bible says tha we are created in the image of God
therefore he too is made up of those 3 components.

1. Body
2. soul
3. spirit

Jesus is God in the flesh..the body portion... and his emotional side...which is how we obtained grace and mercy because he expierienced what we go through...so he can "relate or get down wit it" and knows how hard it is for us to do right sometimes.

yet all three are one they are seperated which is why the son is seated on the right side of the Father (God)

Jesus is not God.
God is God.
He created Jesus and looks upon him as a father looks upon his son.
You'll note when Jesus was first resurrected, he said to Mary that he was on his way to 'my God and your God'. Joh 21:17
Jesus has a God.

Jesus rebuked those who called him Lord. ON HIS OWN IDENTITY Jesus' statements throughout the Bible suggest that any idea of exalting him to divinity was unthinkable. In Matthew's gospel, Jesus denounces in the strongest terms those who exalt him by calling him `Lord': "None of those who cry out, `Lord, Lord,' will enter the kingdom of God but only the one who does the will of my Father in heaven. When the day comes, many will plead with me, `Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in your name? Have we not exorcised demons by its power? Did we not do many miracles in your name as well?' Then I will declare to them solemnly, `I never knew you. Out of my sight, you evil doers!' " [Matthew 7:21-23] .... Adapted from this Christian site http://www.free-minds.org/jesus1.htm

Not all Christians believe in the trinity.

And, no, I don't think all Christians are dumb.
