Hi,

My 2002 Nissan Xterra XE has recently had some serious electrical problems. The dashboard lights, left hand brake light, and tail lights all stopped working at roughly the same time. The headlights work, but the car no longer beeps if I leave them on when I park.

Since so many lights are involved, I doubt it's the bulbs, and none of the fuses are blown.

Any thoughts? I need to get it fixed soon but don't have a ton of money to spend on a mechanic.

Thanks in advance for any help you can provide...

Sounds like a grounding problem...have you had any body work done recently? Have you connected anything to the vehicle's electrical system?

Nissan's are very trustworthy and reliable and won't break down, even if it is fairly old, and is good for its money! Go for it!

electrical problems are a real pain, as much as i hate to tell you to go to the dealer, that seems to be your best option. you could spend hours trying to track down the problem yourself
