The government does try to help them, but most homeless people end up back on the street even given the opportunity to escape that environment. For example, I believe it was a reality TV show that gave a homeless guy $200,000 and he had blown it all in 6 months and was back on the street. Most of these people have a serious mental problem and the guy that I saw the other day really could use a bath.

Darn good question. If I knew the answer I would run for God. The government do not find any return s in investing in the poor homeless. To send millions to other countries they may want to locate a base or want to trade with them. When it is economically profitable for the government to help the homeless they will whether it be Democrats or Republicans.

The homeless problem in America isn't going to be fixed by throwing a bit of money at it. The causes of homelessness are complex, requiring a complicated, long-term solution. This is exactly the kind of problem that our government really sucks at solving. If immediate results from a simplistic solution don't fix it, our politicians want nothing to do with it.
The homeless don't vote, are largely despised, and nobody wants to raise a penny of tax to help them. Sad, but true.

I agree we as a team are no longer doing adequate to help human beings who don't have residences. despite the fact that, we would desire to all understand that some each and every physique isn't healthy enought to be certain what's ultimate for themselves and what's healthy and what isn't. we want establishments in place which will enable the two events to be certain the final corrective action for the affected person and the communiy.

Interestingly, we have sent million dollar bailouts to Mexico. The poor keep coming here.
The key is that these hard-working people need to stay in their country and use their abilities to effect change.
Many in the US are homeless by their personal choices. The agencies that are in existence solely to help them end up providing beds and meals and little else, due to the reluctance of the homeless to change their lifestyle.

The government is looking more to please other countries than help out its own. What they really need to do is raise the poverty rate to help those who are in deserate need. The poverty rate calculator hasn't been changes since the 1960s and it doesn't include the inflation on gas, housing, or anything. Millions of people are just getting by the skin of their teeth, but can't get any federal aid. It is wrong!

We do take care of the poor and homeless in this country. The numbers have dropped significantly in recent years.

Other countries rely on the US for help because they do not have the resources to handle their problems. This lack is caused by several reasons, mostly corruption and theft of government officials.
