Pride gets in the way. You have to humble yourself to ask forgiveness, and that can be hard. But remember this: God loves humility and REALLY doesn't like pride, at all. So do it to please God, and after you have, you will have learned a little bit better how to be more humble. Humbleness is not a sign of weakness; on the contrary, a humble man is to be respected. A prideful man is rather foolish and self-centered. You will see - not only will you feel so much better after you ask forgiveness, but the next time you accidentally do or say the wrong thing, it will be easier.

Some people have a tough time eating humble pie. Yet asking forgiveness may be a bit easier than forgiving, depending on the transgression.
Your heart and soul will be better with God once you forgive and let go any transgression made against you. That way, you can then ask forgiveness with a clear heart and mind.

sometimes ppl are ashamed of what they have done. But just remember if you are truely sorry for what you did and really mean it and will not do it again God is a loving and understanding God. He wants you to ask him for forgiveness. As long as it is honest and from the heart.

Because it is in our nature to deny we are in the wrong. Look at a small child - "did you eat the cookie" - with crumbs all over their face, they will look at you and say "no". It feels bad to be wrong. But as we mature, we are not governed by our feelings. We are, hopefully, governed by our morals, ethics, values, beliefs. While it still may be difficult to admit wrong doing and ask forgiveness, we overcome our personal feelings and do the right thing.

The one who asks for forgiveness is indeed the stronger person.
It's harder because people make it harder. Especially in this day and age where everyone is high and mighty over each other

It is really not what is hard is forgiving others for what they do to us but we must forgive them if we want God to forgive us.

Because if it isn't hard then you have not truly repented. It is only through feeling guilt and asking for forgiveness that we know that we have paid.

Most of the time it is a pride thing. I have the same problem, and I always end up questioning myself and come back that I have lots of pride, andI just don't like to be wrong!
