I bought a west bend oval crock pot and even though I have it on low it seems to cook things like it is on high? Does anyone else have any similar problems? Is it because it is oval? I hate to cook anything all day...I'm scared it will burn.

There's more surface space, therefore more heat. Things in my round one took FOREVER.

Are the Watts the same? Check underneath on ID label...
