If you have made really sure you have no nits then it is either dandruff or some sort of skin problem like eczema or psoriasis which is very itchy and painfull and will cause all the symtoms you have discribed.
Stop treating your hair with any chemicals immediatly, stop scrapping it with a nit comb or any other comb as you may be damaging your scalp and hair more.
You need to go to the doctors to let the doctor have a look at what it is before you go trying anything anyone recommends on here. IF it is the later I mentioned and not dandruff you need proper medical advise .
Many things can cause what you have poor diet/stress etc and the good news is it is easy treated it is not life threatning but only a doctor will be able to see and treat. Whatever he prescribes you may get it cheaper over counter ask first.

This sounds like you got a bad case of the dandruff you should get some anti dandruff shampoo, but before you use it, comb your hair with a fine comb. This will make the dandruff removal faster.

Sounds like dandruff or excema.
Go to the pharmacist or dr's. But its nothin to panic about, it maybe that your washing your hair too reguarly or using to much or the wrong shampoo.
If you live in the uk you can get a shampoo called polytar. Its a menthol smelling shampoo and its really good. A few doses should clear it up.

Sounds like you have dandruff. Only way to get rid of it is to get some special shampoo from the chemist to sort it out.

Although you have given a very good description of what is happening the only person who can diagnose what is going on is your Doctor. He may refer you to a dermatologist for tests etc. Best advice is to see your GP as soon as you can. Good Luck.

It could be dry scalp.
Use tea tree shampoo, but try not to get it in your eyes. It hurts like a mothertrucker.

You should go to the doctor to get a better opinion. We can only guess what your problem is, but a doctor will tell you what it is and the best way to solve your problem.
