my party is in december and ive got a lovely halterneck dress...i feel that i need a nice half up half down hairstyle or another nice style so they can see the halter neck...any suggestions any1 ??? my hair is mediam length

A halterneck dress at a 18th birthday, How about a this bun, which is young, sexy and sophisticate, a friend tried it for her prom it just came out wonderful.
Step 1:
Apply mousse to freshly washed and towel-dried hair (to give some extra volume).
Step 2:
Blowdry your hair with lots of volume. To do this, tip your head upside down and brush against the natural fall of the hair, which will result in lots of extra body. You can also use your fingers to move your hair whilst drying for an even more relaxed result.
Step 3:
Once dry, tease the top section of hair for extra lift and pin hair at the back of the head using bobby pins or combs. Pull the sides back separately and pin again at the back, being careful not to be too neat.Then randomly pull sections of hair from the front and the sides out of the bun to soften the look.
Step 4: A final spritz of Hair Spray will give it some hold and handle any fly-aways and frizzies.

you can wear a pin-up
have the front up in braids or twistees an have the back flat iron down with some layers curled up

i imagine you may want to wave it, or have quite loose curls and scrunch them with styling products. or you may want to easily curl the ends, so that is instantly on the best... seems quite effective and also you do not ought to curve all of it!
