Whether it's a scare or not, SOMETHING has to be done NOW.

The oceans are dying, idiot, and I'm not talking about coral bleaching. There are huge areas of ocean water where lack of oxygen is generating dead zones with barely any life more advanced than jellyfish, and that is definitely being caused by human waste.

Don't be so naive. We did not produce more pollution 100 yrs ago. England may have produced a lot of pollution, but you should check your data again. What happens when the East coast loses power. You can almost see an immediate significant decrease in greenhouse gases. Years ago climate was changed gradually. Now, the rate of climate change is far more quicker due to much faster generation rates of greenhouse gases. Our planet has gone through some ridiculous times in the past 200 mil. yrs...the planet can survive no doubt, but that doesn't mean we survive. What do you think about the stupid dinosaurs. People like you don't want to do anything about the environment, don't join the Kyoto Protocol, and freaking melt the ice caps and destroy human life in the future. Why not try to cut back on pollution? It's common sense to try to make the earth clean and safe...there is no reason not to strive for this except you don't want change like an idiot.
