I rented the first season of HBO's "Big Love" this past wknd. The older men chase the young boys off so that there is no compititon for the young girls to make wives. Although many of the young girls are sexually abused before they are even married! Where does the law draw the line of condoning this, where religion is concerned?

there are laws rules and mores which must be followed in any society. these laws rules and mores tend to change over a period of time and what we deem to be today may have happened in the past. today can't think of any modern society condoning such behavior

HBO !?

It's fantasy fiction.
Freedom of religion does not protect child molesters.
The Bible teaches that we should obey the laws of the land in which we live.
I can't think of any country where the molestation of children is legal.

HBO is not a reliable source of FACTS !

medical doctors ought to be waiting to order scientific care, and the mum and dad can then formally motel their disapproval via signing off asserting they did no longer consider the call or something...however the scientific care ought to happen if it extremely is needed and not something that ought to no longer artwork besides. I propose, if it have been a case the place some scientific care became 50/50, particular, enable the mum and dad choose for. yet recurring scientific care ought to get carry of to absolutely everyone elderly 18 or below, regardless of if or no longer they choose for it or no longer. for sure, that could propose we would want unfastened well-being care...yet that's a separate issue. certainly one of Jesus' followers became a doctor...i do no longer think of this sort of stuff comes from something Jesus taught, yet from different teachings after the fact. merely using fact Jesus DID heal human beings (so the story is going) would not propose he commanded human beings to not at all flow to a scientific expert for something. that's interpreting far greater into the story than is there.
