Anyone getting their diploma should never be frowned upon. They should be congratulated for their efforts. People might think a GED is inferior to a high school diploma but it is the same thing. I know kids that graduated with me that couldn't even read, and I've known kids that quit school that had very high IQ's, so it really doesn't matter. It really is just a piece of paper stating what you know about certain subjects.

i sure do not. i find a person with the determination to get a ged is well deserved the respect due him or her.

I don't, but many educational institutions do. Many don't even recognize a GED ... unfortunately.
