He did basically imply that anyone who was not dressed in the hijab was responsible for her own rape.
It's up to Muslims to assimilate to our cultures. Such disgusting remarks do nothing to soothe relations with the muslim culture.
I feel sorry for the peaceful muslims who have now been shamed because of this cleric.

I have good reasons to believe, Yes. Western values can live in harmony with Muslim faith, in principles. The fact is that there is a large number of Muslims living in the western culture and there are no reported incidents that Muslims are getting wild and are guilty of committing this heinous act, using that cleric views as justification. Rather the sexual offenders list bears exceptionally low number of Muslim sex offenders. In my opinion, Muslims do respect western values.
It was a personal opinion of a religious cleric, which can not be shared by all of us. Bear in mind that mostly the religious clerics from all religions are far more orthodox. e.g Church stand on gay marriage etc.
If you are actually asking that can Western culture and Muslim culture harmonise themselves? my answer is, no. They are different, but in a harmless way.

The answer is no.
Regardless of what the liberals will tell you, you can't have a functionable society with people who have completely different values and principles. you can't mix cultures where one believes women should be covered head to foot while the other believes women have the right to walk around half naked. The two just don't mix and will cause culture clashes.
Muslims from the Middle East immigrate to western countries for the benefits not the values. it's the same thing here in the US with Mexicans.
what is REALLY going on is the marxist communists are purposely flooding western nations with immigrants who are totally alien to the Austrailan way of life while paralyzing the Aussies with political correctness. people are so brainwashed into believeing that if they dislike these foreigners taking over their country, that makes them racists.
the comunists know diversity and multiculturalism will destroy the west, that's why they have become sacred cows of the left.

The words of this cleric manage to make the muslim men sound like animals, very weak and completely unable to control their urges. If they are that dangerous, they should not be allowed out.
I could think of some cures for their insatable appetites but rather than covering up the women why don't we teach them self control. Failing that castration or blindfolding instead.

We can never live in Harmony, they like our freedom but they hate our ways, and our values, keeping in mind western values have deteriorated over the years, but the Muslim values are also to extreme, they want to be free but they don't want their women free, so their can never be harmony, especially with the western women.

I do believe in live and let live, but wouldn't mind the UK politicians taking into account our own voice.
Muslims are too radical and want to fight everyone and everything British. How on earth can we live in harmony, and why should we? Live by our rules or go home!
WE can't go to other countries and demand our own churches and living conditions they automatically get here. We'd get laughed at just for asking. And although they dislike us, they don't want to go home. Now why is that? Can't think!

While HE may feel the urge to rape a woman not in hijab (in which case he needs locking up as a psycho and a dangerous potential sex offender) most men can control themselves pretty well.
