I am an aspiring entertainer.
Acting, Music, you name it.
My ambition sometimes outweighs my current ability, but I tend to be great at pressing on. I am mostly drawn torwards music; I simply love it more than most things. But, my singing ability, although I have noticed that I am improving, is not the greatest, or atleast I dont feel like it coincides with what I am picturing in my head.
So, my question is: Can you develop a better singing voice? And if so, what are some techniques/tips for doing this.
I've gotten over the wanting to have it over night and I am ready to work for it.

yes, you can improve your singing voice if you practiced, i have a friend who was absolutley dreadful at singing but she took up singing lessons with a personal tutor and now she has improved, she still sounds as if she could improve but she has only been doing it for 8 months with 2 lessons a week. If you decided to take up singing lessons i reckon it would probably take you about a year to a year and a half (if you do two lessons a week) to become a pro
Hope this helps, good luck with your ambition

If you want to become a better singer, improve your singing voice and are considering an online course I strongly recommend this site:
http://howtosing.toptips.org
I am big fan of this online singing course. You can watch a video more times until you can grasp each concept. Even if the program runs on a 10-day period, you can spend more or less, depending on your own pace. All the guides and tools included in this program are designed by professionals. This means you will learn transitions, changes and voice modification techniques like a pro! It comes with a plethora of exercises, allowing you to improve any aspect of your voice.
It definitely the best alternative to expensive lessons with vocal coaches. Try it and you'll see great results!

Voice lessons *can* improve your voice. Learning good breathing, phrasing, and projection techniques will help any untrained singer.
Many self-guided lessons are available in books, CDs, and DVDs, but I recommend individual one-on-one lessons from a qualified voice teacher. You may learn enough in a handful of lessons to achieve the improvements you are looking for. Check with local piano or music stores, or university vocal departments for recommendations on selecting a teacher. And good luck.
On the other hand, this question could be a red herring to get people to click on your UTube video.

One way you can improve your voice is to find a good voice trainer and join a chorus. When you join a chorus it teaches you to listen and sing on your tone and it sort of sharpens your hearing. Another thing you can do is to drink lemon and hot tea and practice your breathing. Sing from your diaphragm. not from your throat and if the note is to high try to go lower.

Well, I am very impressed with an aspiring entertainer who is interested in quality. I'm sure you know that most people in your situation would care less about how they sounded and use synthesizers and such. But, to answer to answer your question, I've heard singers and performers on shows such as "Driven" and "Biography" say that they took singing, dancing and whatever other classes they needed.
Good Luck to You.....

I am a music minister and I always tell my newbies this:
The reason you brush your hair so good is because you do it all the time!
Sing in the car, sing at home, sing at the job... sing!
