There's the long way and then there's the short way. Depends on which route you want to go. Overall, it shouldn't take more than 30 total prep time if you have all the ingredients ready to go. Good Luck!

If you are looking for the easiest chili recipe ever, here it is...
USE A CROCK POT!
I know that it takes 6 hours this way, but it will take you 8 minutes of prep!
1. Brown a lb of ground meat (cow, deer, elk, whatever...)
2. While it's browning add to the crockpot:
a) 1 cup of frozen corn
b) 1 small can of sliced olives
c) 1 small can of tomato paste
d) 1 medium can of diced tomatoes (any kind - do not
drain!)
e) 1 small can of green chilis
f) 1 can of red kidney beans or black beans (drained &
rinsed)
g) 1 packet of taco seasoning (medium or hot)
h) 2 Tbsp of chili powder
i) 2 tsp garlic salt
3. Add browned meat to crockpot.
4. Stir ingredients together and turn on high for 6 hours.
This turns out awesome and is perfect for nights when you just don't have time to cook dinner. Serve it with grated cheese, sour cream, chopped onion and cornbread. Or pour it over fries and melt some cheese over the top in the broiler - yummy!
ENJOY!

About 30 minutes prep time. Let it slow cook for hours so the flavor sinks in.
