I think the term moonroof was created by a company just trying to sound different and hip. As far as I know, a sunroof and a moonroof are the same thing. The only difference I could imagine is that a sunroof might have tinting where as a moonroof does not.
Unless you were to only drive at night or at least as far north as Canada, I would recommend tinting to cut down on the glare and heat.

Well- it is pretty simple- do you want you celestial roof to be able to close, or not?
A sunroof simply includes a solid panel that usually slides over the glass to block the sun, or a sunroof may just be a motorized solid panel, whereas a moonroof is just glass.
I would get a sunroof that has the sliding panel so you can use it as a moonroof when you feel like it- best of both worlds.

A sunroof is just a glass roof in the car, The moonroof term became used when they factory supplied a sliding cover to block out the light and make it like a normal roof. They are the same, it just depends if you want the option to have sun or close it out when driving

Hi Mr. sauron, do you have a Sauron-mobile? I wonder what it look like? do it have a dark flaming cloud where ever it goes. I can understand why you want a sun/moon roof.
I say go for the sunroof. It sounds happy.
Cake anyone?

I'd get the moon roof and leave it parked in the daytime.
WalterD, standard transmissions are now automatic shifters, manual is optional.
