If it's too hard to complete school at school, she does have hte option of studying from home to get her GED. In my highschool we had about 4 girls go through pregnancies. they all stuck it out untill their 8th month and then took soe time off. Their friends took notes for them and brought them the homework. When they were able to return they did and continued untill they all gratuated (some even with honors!) Tell her not to give up. I'ts good to hear that the father is wanting to take some responsibility in getting married, but she will need help,. Let her know about online schooling for college. A college education will get her an even better life (I had a friend who was going to university full time and had 2 children. Her husband helped, she worked part time too and she took care of her children). If she really wants it she can do anything! A good friend by her side is always helpfull as well. :)

Good luck to her!

Your right she do need a high school diploma if she intends to go to work some day. But know it's not unusually, Do she have any family that can help her out. Watching her baby for her during the day, while she attends school, Or is she a lone on this. How about daycare.

A high school diploma is worth $200,000.00 over ones lifetime. A college diploma doubles that and more. No matter what it takes, FINISH SCHOOL. A woman should never depend on anyone else for her livelihood. Things can happen to a 'meal-ticket'. What one has learned and the achievement it allows are a constant, dependable source. All best wishes.

I don't think that it is right. There are too many programs that have been invented for her to give up on her education. She can still be married and go to school. Although it may be hard but she just learned the lesson that has been taught to us all she just learned a little earlier. So my answer is don't leave school. Find a way to make it worth. In the long run you will be glad you did. For your sake and your baby.

She shouldn't drop out of school. It will be better for the baby in the long run if she can stay in school. Why can't she come to school? Does she need child care or a ride? These are important. Maybe she feels that it is best for her husband to finish his education first and she can finish hers later. Unless you can help her with a ride and help her find someone to watch the baby, then it might be best for her to try to get her GED.

What she can do is check with her local DFS office in her state and apply for daycare help and continue to go to school if her boyfreind is going to school she can too. She needs to complete school limited education means limited chances!! She can get married if she choose too. But she shouldn't drop out of school.

She can do home school if she can't find someone to take care of the baby while she's at school, or at the very least she can get her GED.

She needs an education, however she gets it...she needs one! Her BF needs to step up and help out...even if it means lightening his load or taking a break from college. It takes two to make a baby!

some states have laws stating that a girl cannot attend school when she is pregnant. She may have to wait until the baby is born, but she'll only be one year behind. It isn't impossible.

I wouldn't want to attend high school if I was pregnant. Too many snide remarks.
